About us
Hospital Directions began with a simple observation: finding the right place should not be one of the hardest parts of a hospital visit.

Matthew Parsons · Founder
While volunteering at a children’s hospital in East Tennessee, Matthew Parsons recognized a point of friction: people needed help getting from where they were to where they needed to be.
That experience led him to create Hospital Directions. Built around real-world examples and real-world instructions, the app helps people get from point A to point B using recognizable landmarks, familiar words, and clear next steps.
That can mean finding the correct entrance, searching for “blood draw” instead of a technical department name, or knowing that registration comes before a trip to the lab when the hospital requires it.
The goal is an affordable, adaptable wayfinding tool that can change with the hospital—without asking visitors to download another app.
Contact Matthew to talk through your campus, the questions your visitors ask, and what a useful first release could look like.

Simple enough for a first visit. Specific enough to be useful on your campus.
Use familiar landmarks and everyday search terms alongside the hospital’s department names.
Add hospital-specific guidance for registration, wristbands, and check-in locations where needed.
Focus the scope on helpful routes and clear instructions, without a beacon network for the core experience.
Update destination names, check-in notes, and route instructions as the campus changes.
Hospital Directions is an independent company. The founder’s volunteer experience does not imply a hospital endorsement. Riverview is a fictional demonstration, not a customer case study.
